Biography

BROWN, Mrs. Geraldyne Frances “Aunt Geri”; a resident of Merrywood Lodge, Elmore, Alabama passed away Thursday, February 25, 2010 at the age of 95. Funeral services will be held Sunday, February 28, 2010 at 2:00 PM at Gassett Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Charles Sanders officiating. Interment will follow at Union United Methodist Church Cemetery, Eclectic, AL with Gassett Funeral Home of Wetumpka directing. Mrs. Brown is survived by a devoted niece, Peggy Wilson of Wetumpka, AL; brother, Richard “Dick” (Mary) Huffman of Susanville, CA; sister, Dorothy Morton of Fullerton, CA; and numerous nieces and nephews. Pallbearers will be Bob Thomas of Moundville, AL, Jeffery Anderson, Sr. of Fontana, CA, Jeffery Anderson, Jr. of Oklahoma City, OK, Clayton Mantz and Jason Bodiford, both of Wetumpka, AL, Richard Brienza of Eclectic, AL, Samuel Thomas of Moundville, AL, and Tommy Jinright of Montgomery, AL. Honorary pallbearers are caregivers and staff of Elmore Community Hospital and Merrywood Lodge for their exemplary care given at all times. Flowers will be accepted, memorial contributions may be made to Vistacare Hospice, or to one’s favorite charity. The family will receive friends from 1:00 PM until 2:00 PM Sunday at Gassett Funeral Home.
