Biography

ROBBINS, Jack, a native of Wetumpka, Alabama passed away Saturday, July 10, 2010 at the age of 78. Funeral services will be held Monday, July 12, 2010 at 10:00 AM at Gassett Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Gerald Wood officiating. Interment will follow at Pine View Memorial Gardens with Gassett Funeral Home of Wetumpka directing. Mr. Robbins is survived by five sons: Joe (Linda) Robbins, Eddie (Jane) Robbins, Ronnie (Misty) Robbins, Johnny (Ellen) Robbins and Billy (Donna) Robbins; thirteen grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; sister, Verla Mae Burge; three nieces and three nephews. He was preceded in death by his wife, Betty Robbins in 2003, son, Tommy Robbins; parents, Henry Grady Robbins and Ada Jane Penton Robbins; brothers, Pete Robbins and Frank Robbins; and three sisters: Cathrine, Nell, and Doris. Pallbearers will be grandsons. Honorary pallbearers are Butch Carter, Haywood Robbins, and Grady Burge. The family will receive friends from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM Sunday at Gassett Funeral Home.
