PEMBERTON, Jonah Benjamin, Jr. age 83, a resident of Wetumpka, AL; passed away Sunday, July 18, 2010. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, July 21, 2010 at 1:00 p.m. at Redland Road Church of Christ with Minister David Phillips & Minister Fenton Northern officiating. Burial will follow at Pine View Gardens with Gassett Funeral Home of Wetumpka directing. Mr. Pemberton is preceded in death by his wife, Myrtis Stough Pemberton and his son, Mickey Wayne Pemberton. He is survived by one daughter, Jena Gayle (Randy) Herrington, two grandchildren, Keri Leigh Rogers, Cody Benjamin Rogers, two sisters, Shirley Jo Turner & Myrtle Webster. Mr. Pemberton retired with the Alabama State Troopers. Visitation will be held Tuesday, July 20, 2010 from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Gassett Funeral Home. Mr. Pemberton will lie in state 30 minutes prior to service time at the church.
